The bulk of this collection is during Wold War II and gives a good insight on how Major League baseball contributed to the efforts of the war and how the teams were affected by the wars. Sample topics include military data on players, National Defense Service List, War Relief benefit games, returned baseballs by fans, draft classifications.

On December 2, 1905, Mrs. Tunis G. Bergen brought together a group of Brooklyn residents at the Barnard Club House on Remsen Street to form New York City's first borough-based Red Cross organization.
